Another Weight Gain Fear Success Story
I read one of your previous posts and thought that I may share my story of weight gain success with your readers. I am a mother of three and was in an abusive relationship for 12 years. During that time I went from 125 lbs to 172 lbs - I felt bad about myself and stopped caring about what I looked like.
One day, I decided that enough was enough and I took my kids and moved into my parents home until I got my feet back on the ground. Got a job and starting being more independent - my ex-husband wanted the family back and tried extremely hard to convince us to move back to the home. None of the children wanted to and I remained surprisingly strong.
What helped me through this was my special parents for if it was not for them I would never of had the initial strength to do this. The other secret to my success is that I started dieting and going to the gym. I worked out 4 days a week and started watching what I ate. Within 6 months I had lost 25 lbs. I started feeling good about myself again and started taking pride in how I looked.
It has been 14 months that I have been separated and will be finalizing our divorce in 2 weeks. I have now lost 45 lbs and am looking great.
Losing weight and exercising has kept me very strong through this tragic year and for the first time since I left my husband I am going out on a date this Friday night. I feel great about things and looking back am sorry that I had not made this change earlier. Life is a wonderful thing full of journeys and this last 14 months has been one that without a steady diet and exercise regiment would not have been accomplished.
Its the special people that share their stories with others that have inspired me and hopefully this story can touch someone else that may be in the position that I was.
Love Life for your sake and for the sake of the ones that love you!!!
Best Wishes
